Jordan College of the Arts
Imagine. Innovate. Inspire.

The Jordan College of the Arts exists to develop students into artist-citizens who will become leaders in arts and society. Through our liberal arts curriculum and nationally recognized faculty, we are preparing well-rounded graduates who are critical thinkers as well as experienced performers. With degree programs in Art, Arts Administration, Dance, Music and Theatre, our students are able to take advantage of Indianapolis’ thriving arts scene to gain real-world experience while earning their degree.

Despite our relatively small size, our students annually put on approximately 150 student performances, drawing community members of all ages to our campus. Our students also have opportunities to study abroad, gain teaching experience in the Butler Community Arts School, and learn alongside distinguished guest artists through our JCA Signature Events Series. As a result of this experiential learning, JCA students graduate with professional preparation for a 21st century arts career.

With one of the oldest and most comprehensive Arts Administration programs in the country and a dance program that consistently ranks in the top five nationally, the Jordan College of the Arts has a long history of excellence. The Butler Ballet program annually draws over 15,000 audience members. Our faculty are world-renowed performers and dedicated educators. Through the Butler Arts Collaborative, we have ongoing partnerships with six local arts organizations, five of which are housed on campus, offering extensive opportunities for our students to interact with professionals working in the arts.

In order to continue building on these strengths and fulfilling our vision of being the leader in arts education and innovation in Indianapolis and the region, we need your help. Invest in our students and the cultural fabric of our community by supporting the Jordan College of the Arts through one of our strategic funding priorities listed below. Each initiative will enhance the learning opportunities we are able to provide our students while expanding the reach of our cultural impact in the region.
